Cookie Policy
Last updated August 4, 2026
This policy explains how tryoptiq.com, our marketing website, uses cookies and similar technologies. It does not apply to the Optiq desktop application, which stores data locally on your device as described in our Privacy Policy rather than through browser cookies.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website you visit. They're commonly used to remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how a site is used. Some of what this policy covers, such as your theme preference, is technically stored using your browser's local storage rather than a cookie, but we cover it here for transparency since it works similarly.
2. What we currently use
tryoptiq.com does not set advertising or third-party tracking cookies. Today, the site uses:
- Strictly necessary storage — your light or dark mode preference, and your response to the cookie banner itself, are saved in your browser's local storage so the site remembers your choices on your next visit. This isn't used for tracking and doesn't leave your browser.
We may introduce privacy-conscious, aggregate website analytics in the future to understand which pages are useful, without tracking you individually across other sites. If we do, we'll update this policy first.
3. Cookies from embedded services
If we embed a third-party tool on the site, for example a scheduling widget to book a demo, that provider may set its own cookies when you interact with the embedded content. Those cookies are governed by that provider's own cookie and privacy policies, not this one.
4. Controlling cookies and local storage
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and local storage through their settings. If you clear your browser's local storage for tryoptiq.com, your theme preference will reset to the site default the next time you visit. Blocking storage entirely shouldn't prevent you from browsing the marketing site, since we don't rely on it for core functionality beyond preference memory.
5. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as the site evolves, including if we introduce analytics or other embedded tools. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do.
